Shirley Fund - Giving to A Change of Heart

About the Shirley Fund

Shirley A routine heart health assessment not only saved Shirley Allenbrand’s life, it profoundly changed it. The Olathe businesswoman and Kansas leader has since become a passionate advocate for women’s heart health – so much so that we’ve named The Shirley Fund in her honor. Read Shirley’s inspiring story.

Shirley Allenbrand had A Change of Heart®, and you can, too! Help women throughout the region live heart-healthier lives with a gift to The Shirley Fund, benefiting The University of Kansas Hospital’s women’s heart health program.

You can save lives
Your gift to The Shirley Fund will help save lives! Donations directly support A Change of Heart, which inspires and improves women’s heart health in the key areas of awareness, assessment and advocacy. Here's how your contribution will be put to work:

Awareness: Education and outreach initiatives to increase awareness that heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women and men in the U.S. – and is preventable

Assessment: Heart health assessments for all women, including those in need, as well as a clinical research study to measure the assessment’s effectiveness

Advocacy: Free advocacy kits with information and tools women can share with their family and friends to help others improve their heart health
