Nurses play a major role
The human touch and advanced technology work together at the Center for Advanced Heart Care. Because the watchful eye of a nurse always plays a major role in a patient’s recovery, nursing stations are only steps away from each patient room. This allows nurses to spend more time at the patient’s bedside.
Advanced communication technology also enables nurses to watch patients more closely and quickly inform physicians of changes in a patient's condition.
Visionary surgical suites
The heart center's operating rooms have the latest video, communications and information technology. Through electronic health records, surgical teams have immediate access to each patient's vital information, such as lab results and diagnostic images. Surgeons can perform a variety of minimally invasive procedures using miniature endoscopic cameras with built-in video monitoring systems.
Integrated emergency care
The Emergency Department and our accredited Chest Pain Center are located within the Center for Advanced Heart Care. They both offer direct access to the heart center.
Every minute counts during a heart attack. Our Regional Heart Attack Center team is highly trained to provide the fastest response possible. This will further reduce the time it takes for a patient to receive treatment in the catheterization lab or be moved to the Dr. William A. & Mary J. Reed Cardiovascular Surgery Center.
